Mission & History
The Mental Health Care Foundation was formally established in 2002 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. The Foundation was created to support and be the fundraising arm for Mental Health Care, Inc. and its programs.
The Foundation's mission remains constant - educate, advocate for and give hope to all people touched by behavioral health and developmental challenges.
The Foundation is governed by the Board of Trustees.
Mental Health Care Foundation History
Since its beginning in 2002, the Mental Health Care Foundation has focused on developing a solid base of support. The Foundation solicits and receives gifts from the Operating and Foundation Boards, Medical Staff members, employees, vendors, corporations, Foundations and the community at large.
The Foundation has an active annual solicitation program, including the Founders Society for those that make a minimum annual gift, two major special events each year; the Children’s Crisis Center Breakfast and Starry Nights gala, commemorative giving, naming opportunities and a planned giving program. The Foundation also has a $100k endowment fund with the Community Foundation.
